Yes, another birthday has come for my dear Noodle. We decided to have a costume party for her, but the thought of entertaining at my house was a little overwhelming, so we had a playground birthday party! The weather had us worried because it was raining buckets the day before, but it cleared up beautifully, and it wasn't even muddy!Noodle was dressed as an angel. Her grandmother sent her these beautiful pink angel wings that were hand crafted with feathers. Hopers dressed up as a kitty cat and crawled around saying, "ma-ow, ma-ow." I made her ears and tail, but I'll save that for another post. All of Noodle's friends were adorable in their costumes.
Even Seth and I dressed up. We went all out and bought these silly wigs at a costume shop. I donned some of my flashiest clothes and added a few touches and...voila! Crazy birthday memories.
I waited to post this until after the 31st (when we dressed up again) so that we could surprise a few friends at our church's fall festival.
Of course we had a craft (you know I can't do a birthday party without crafts!!). The kids painted pumkins. Some of them painted other things. Hopers painted her face. I forgot to have the parents sign a waiver stating that we weren't liable for their children getting paint all over themselves. Hmm... remind me next time. I also forgot to bring the smocks I made beforehand out of trashbags. OH WELL. :) Really, it wasn't that bad. The kiddos did a pretty good job staying clean. Except for Hopers, but who didn't see that coming!
And last but not least, we had cake and presents. As you can see, the cake was blue. In fact, Noodle wanted the entire theme of the party to be blue. I'm not really sure why, except that maybe it is her new favorite color? So, we had blue cake, blue streamers, blue plates, cups, forks, teeth, etc.

and a fun time was had by all! Happy Birthday, Faith! We love you! Oh, and I'm waiting for Faith to start posting her own blogs. :)
I think I'm going to start her up one soon. She was asking about it since she got a camera for her birthday. I think it would be a great learning tool (the homeschool mom says).
i can't believe she's 7!! Happy Birthday Faith! You're so creative Tara and I love the costume!
We wish we could have been there instead of this redneck town we live in. Noodle is so pretty and grown up. Your costume was great too....envious very envious!
Very cute. And, yes, your costumes did surprise some of us at Hallelujah Harvest.
Whoa!! Looks like an awesome party! That cake was pretty!! How fun!
You guys look rockin'!!
Stand next to your mom next time and see if I don't recognize you... I probably will fail again, but what a great get up.
How cute Tara! I can't believe she's 7 already, how time flies. Oh by the way I love your outfit, those are the flashiest duds I've ever seen you in. Oh and the platinum wig... hysterical!
