A Storybook Life

Some of you have been asking why I haven't been blogging as much lately. Ususally, I blog in the evenings when the kids are in bed and Seth is at work. That gives me a couple of nights a week that I can opt for sitting at the computer. However, lately, I've been using that time for a little side project. My mom has written a story for Tobey, the little boy they are in the process of adopting from China. He'll be five years old by the time they will be able to go and get him, so this storybook is to help Tobey understand some of the process and what will happen when they come to China. Well, I've been drawing the illustrations for the book, and me being the perfectionist that I am, it is taking quite a while. I draw each character and object about a thousand times before making a final draft. Then, I scan the page into a digital format and make more edits and drafts. It's been kind of fun trying something different. Here is one of the pages illustrating Mom, Dad and Tabitha.

And here is what they look like in real life (just for fun).
