Tater-Tot!

Last September, my Mom, my Dad, and I went to China to bring home my little brother, Teegan.  It was a momentous occasion in all our lives. The year before that, my parents had adopted Tobianna.  Also momentous.  A few years before that, it was the adoption of Tabitha that made the news in our family life.  In all, I have two biological siblings, and three adopted siblings.

Make that four.

{Ahem.}

Please give a (momentous) round of applause for my newest soon-to-be sibling........... Fu Zhi Yang!

Fu Zhi Yang is currently 1 year and 10 months old.  We received these two pictures this week.

Of course, to be part of my sibling group, one must have a "T" name.  Are there even any "T" names left??  A few.  After using up Tiana, Tara, Tyler, Tobianna, Tabitha, Teegan, and my mom's name, Tamara, the pickin's were slim.  However, my parents thought Tate was better than a leftover name--it was a perfect name.  An adorable name!  Not only that, but I'm already referring to Tate as "Tater-tot" more often than not!  {Grin.}

Here are the first pictures we saw of Tate back in December at about the age of a year and a half.

The typical Chinese Orphanage photo.  It vaguely reminds me of a baby mug shot.

These last four photos are of Tate from the update we received in January.  Sweetness!

Hopefully, the process will be fairly quick, and Tate will be home before winter.  My mom may have to go alone this time, which is a terribly scary thought.  Imagine yourself traveling alone in a non-English-speaking country, from airplanes to government offices, with a toddler and a likely case of traveler's diarreah.  Yeah. Right.  I'm praying that God will provide a way for me to go with her.  Money is the major barrier.  Babysitting for my kids...eh, minor detail.

Whatever the case, God is adding to my family.  Will you pray with us over the next several months?

We love Tater-tot!
